Dont ya know ? Its all your fault for owning a car .

Its all your fault for having central heating.

Its all your fault for emitting co2 at every available opportunity.

The only way we can stop global warming......

Is if all the propoganda hippy s kill themselves, and THEY stop emitting co2 from every orifice in their bodies ( and a little poisonous methane too )...not sure which there is more of though, as they all talk out their arse.

The earth is ever changing, just because we are on it, and now have some technology to monitor stuff, all of a sudden, we are causing its destruction....

Seriously, get real. Do they think us, in our miniscule existence on this planet, are going to change what nature is making happen ??

The northern ice sheet is in the final stages of retreat as we are still coming out of the last ice age. It's 10,000 years since the last major one, which was one of the shortest, peaking for approx 100 years, but one of the most intense in global history, covering just under two thirds of the northern hemishpere in an ice sheet of 2-5 miles thick (if I remember my geography correctly) and it won't be the last.

This little, but very important, fact is always left out of the argument by the 'greenies' and government. Earlist recorded history from the Chinese, Roman, Egyptian ang Greek civilisations all mention entire coastlines being consumed by the sea.

Global warming can't be stopped or slowed down, it's the planets natural cycle.

Just wish people would stop swallowing all the c**p that the media etc put out and just take a look at history for themselves and come to a more informed decision.

Nicely put, at last a voice of reason.

Lets also not forget that livestock contributes more to the global greenhouse gasses than transport. Are we going to ban cows?

Bloody right! I've been sayin this for YEARS and no one ever believes a word of it. Sure, why might have accelerated it a tony bit, but in the big scheme (time scale wise) of things, we're but a pimple of the Earth's history - more of an inconvenience if you will.

And I don't have a garage either - my VXR sits on the drive rain, snow or (rarely) sun.

coincidence.....similar topic popped up on the turbomini forum...

thread hi-jack of course

Climate change.

Like we care....and like we are really the cause.

Someone on another forum I used posted this up. He's part of a research team working on climate prediction, and posted this link for reading.

www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/climate.html

and i'm also part of the research team for a climate group looking at paleoclimate and future climate prediction, which is interesing because you are all being lied to about climate change.

The only reliable data actually shows the climate is in fact cooling! Even the fudged IPPC data actually shows a general cooling trend. Funny how temperature trends also identically mirror solar insolation (sun's energy output)........

Another amusing fact, (I know your a chemist), is that CO2 is only actually responsible for 3% of the greenhouse effect that keeps the planet from freezing, and our output of that gas is 0.017% of natural background levels. About the same as one very minor volcanic erruption.

95% of the earths greenhouse gas is in fact water vapour.

CO2 has next to no effect on climate at all, and the ice core records prove this - CO2 levels do not track any past climate change, it lags. Sorry, a little O/T. Well only sliightly because the governent keep trying to justify taxing the f@*k out of us on the basis of so called climate change.[/quote]

Not that its new news....we all know all the talk about cars etc causing climate change are total bullshit.
