Well after 13months and 13thousand miles it is time to bid my GTS-R a fond farewellweeping
Car is off to new owner on tuesday, will be sad to see it go, but have to face up to newly wed life and as such have had to put priorities in order and down size to single car. Peugeot 206 too small HSV too big cry
I was at the Ace today and it felt terrible seeing all the nice cars there knowing I wouldn't be part of the troop anymore.

The Teeshirt is resigned back into the wardrobe my GTS-R model now will be a reminder of what once was cloud9 and maybe what will be in years to come when situations allow.
Heres praying for the lottery win.
This forum has been instrumental in my purchase, owning and selling of my car clap and I wish the forum and ownersclub and the tuners out there you know who you all are the continued success you deserve bow
Keep on driving and a big thumbup
Cheers
Nick Hunt

Nick,I had the very same feelings when I sold that car! I know the new owner is getting a corker, and hope he enjoys it as much as you and I. Is he a Pistonheader?

Hi Andy,
Not sure if he is already a pistonheader or not but rest assured he knows of the forum already, not nice to see her go but life goes on...

Hi,

I am the new owner and hopefully the next in line to enjoy a great car.

It will seem like a long time until Tuesday......

Thanks V8 NHH. Can you remind me what tyre size the fronts were, What the Toyo's are on the back and what Bridgestones you recommend. I need to get shopping.

SJC - Would love to hear any stories or hints about the car.

Wriggley Monkey, many congrats on the car.I owned the car from new in 2001 to 2005. It's the longest I've ever owned a car, so that should tell you something. It was totally reliable, serviced on the dot, without doubt the best seats of any car I've sat in and only sold it( at 23,000 miles) because we didn't need three big cars and I was able to go back to 2 seaters. My wife has always regretted (until recently) not taking me up on my offer of that becoming her car.
Good luck and enjoy a very rare special car.

Hi Brian

Just got in so heres the gen

235/40/18 are tyre sizes, rears are Toyo Proxis T1R,Fronts are Bridgestone Potenza SO3
Personal choice this one I would stick to either A. SO3's or B.Bridgestone REO4O as in my experience these were surperb in all conditions.
Everyone recommends different but I have no shame in saying Bridgestones for me are without doubt the best tyres for my....your HSV!!

please check your voice mail regarding a question I had for you, just text me back answer to mobile

Know how you feel mate.... I only miss the HSV Coupe every time I get in another car! I will own another one as soon as circumastances allow and I'm sure you will. These cars are not perfect but I think thats what makes them so appealing.

I'm lucky Raggyman bought it & I get visitation and a bit of a drive every now and then. Was awesome to see it and all the others at the Ace today - it's a credit to the type of owners of Aussie V8's in the UK, full of passion & just love a drive with balls on it's hairy balls!

Dont worry mate, you'll be back in the fray before you know it and from my experience - once an HSV UK family member, always an HSV family member!
