Ive got an workshop pdf for the engine.
You can get a workshop manual from amazon etc.

Mmm, I could do with it too, just knowing torque settings and stuff is really handy.

You'll need an angular torque guage to do it properly, preferably digital. The key engine bolts are all set to angular settings and torqued in increments.

thats the one I've got though paid a bit less than that for it on Ebay. With airmail I think I paid around 25ukp all in. Remember some of it is only relevant for the 04 model cv8s.

I have 2 genuine Holden Service manuals for VT1 and II in Commodore
Calais covering all the LS1 components in the Monaros,such as Gen Info,Service,Tech 2,Body,A/C,suspension,final drive,brakes,cooling,engine elec,emmision,tune and in 2nd manual clutch,gearbox,autobox,fuel,exhaust,steering,full electrical system,theft deterrent,audio,cruise control,and on and on.
As I no longer own a HSV these genine Holden Manuals are surplus to my requirements.PM or e-mail if interested.

One of the UK guys visited where I normally live a few weeks ago and asked this question.
I will quote my response as there is a Haynes manual obtainable over there that now goes up to VYII.
