What do you think of this Monaro?

Would you be happy supporting a UK drift Monaro that looked like this or do you think the styling should be kept a bit more subtle? The spec of this car is not to over the top except for the styling. Rhys Millen now drifts a Solstice but the spec in these pictures is listed below! Hoping to get this project started soon, just need to iron out a deal

Well the Japanese are obsessed with "aero". They even use it as an excuse to fit really horrible bodykits to various cars. I wouldn't be putting a wing on but I will be putting big gay stickers on it. Possibly Ann Summers advertisements or those trousers that aren't quite shorts or trousers!
But in all seriousness the theory is downforce and you do want grip, it's not all about spinning the tyres! You need to gain speed while you're drifting, so sticky tyres and some aerodynamic aids are widely used. The Monaro's i've driven so far are all WAY WAY WAY under-tyred. How can a manufacturer sell a car with those HP and torque with 235's on it. I think they were hoping to sell lots of rear bumpers and 1/4 panels after sale.

well it is more a picnic table than a spoiler so maybe the weight of the Smith family having their sunday picnic adds an extra 500kg to the rear end?

Here's a lovely pic of my car outside WRC where it seems to spend a lot of its time.
Hell, if I was getting paid $100K a year to drift a car that has a big gay wing and a paint job by stevie wonder which in turn gets me lots of tracktime, allows my company to grow, and hoards of umbrella girls bouncing up and down on me...Who would I be to complain! It's big business in US hence all the branding. They use drifting to advertise energy drinks, clothes, tyres...you name it!
It's unfortunate that the Max Power clowns are the people that will happily shell out £20 for a drifting DVD, or pay £5 for a magazine that features some "phat driftin yo", so you know what that means...Appealing to the muppets by having the aforementioned offending features! On the other hand, educated people like yourselves will hopefully see past that and appreciate the skill involved rather than the distracting neons hehe
