still trying to sort out replacement of 3 roadwheels for my vxr.the full story, owned the car for about 1 hour on my way home from buying it, sideswiped by a BM which was on the wrong side of the road.
damaged the two offside wheels pushed me into the kerb and hit the nearside rear.so car fixed but needs 3 wheels or even 4(iwill pay for the forth myself if vauxhall could supply 4 wheels all the same colour, they cannot.
ordered 3,got 2 in metalic blue 1 in silver, this one looked a child had sprayed it with a spraycan.
these cost £750.00 per wheel. spoke to several monaro dealers was told we cannot guarantee to supply all 4 wheels the same colour as they all come with the same part no they would have to get someone in aus to open boxes in warehouse to try and match up 4.
vauxhall careline advised me to try a scrapyard!!not good for £36.000.00 car
now considering replaceing all 4 with boyd coddington polished alloys cost £1,800.00 for 4 including tyres.

I still find it absolutely incredible that Vauxhall cannot guarantee to supply 4 wheels the same colour!

C'mon Stu. what's going on?

Kinda puts one off a bit.

Absolutely. Although I don't own a Monaro, so I suppose have no right to join in the moaning, but I will anyway - that sounds like unbelievably poor service.

It's shocking.

Its like supplying light fittings that are different.

Why are the wheels different colours anyway - very very poor.

Get some lightweight wheels instead. Will be cheaper and you can pick your style (I will eventually).

Still, it's shocking.

This is appalling.

Whether you buy a 7K or 37K car you should be able to get 4 bloody wheels the same especially the cost of those HSV/VXR ones!! for teh so called 'halo effect' car.

The dealer should be shot offering excuses like that. At the every least if that is what they have been told they should not except it let alone expect a customer to do so.

Anyone working for me handling clients like that would have a sudden case of considerable free time on their hands.

The delights of dealing with Australia!!!! Present company excepted..

It depends on the specific sheep dip they used to clean the wheels before spraying.
