I was got the same way, hired a VX Clubbie in 04 from them and did the GOR, picking up a 6 month ban from some chaps in a nice Black Falcon on the way back to Melbourne. Finally got my GTS a fortnight ago and haven't stopped smiling since.

1. You luv the HSV ridethumbup
2. You rate the Great Ocean Road as one of the best drives on the rockthumbup
3. Obviously a Metallica fanthumbup

Humour me and throw in a quirky remark about England being generally shite at sport & me thinks we are mates for life!

Well ok then!! British weather sucks and we're generally pretty crap at sport, but wait.....
something has gone terribly wrong!! The England boys have won four in a row!!

HSV's kick ass, the Great Ocean Road rules and Metallica Rock!! It was a good combo, 400 Brake. a slightly damp GOR and Battery turned up very loud!!

If anyone does do the Great Ocean Road, then you have to stop in Anglesea and eat in 'The Surfing Albatross' (awesome Lamb Shank!!)

first concert I went to was Metallica suported by Anthrax at the Manchester Apollo in Sept 1986. One of Cliff Burton's last appearances (he died 10 days later)

BTW, few newby questions...
Whats the strange green map reading light thingy near the passenger sunvisor?
Do the stereo/wipers/headlamps really stay on when you turn the engine off?

Funny, but I've had mine almost two weeks now, and yesterday was the first time I noticed the funny green light by the passenger sunvisor..... I would also like to know what that is for - it appears to be always on, not just when the lights are on, so I'm a bit bemused by it. Anyone know its real meaning?

The stereo does stay on after the ignition is turned off - I think for 60 mins from what I read in the manual. As soon as you open the door though it turns off. The headlights are slightly different - they also stay on, but for a configurable amount of time which you set in the computer thing on the dash. It is a 'see your way home' feature.
