I've just completed a round trip of 650 very enjoyable miles in the Monaro VXR, which just gets better and better.

BUT 2 small problems - An odd message has appeared twice in the LCD display "Take a break" or something similar. The first time it happended after I had been driving for an hour or so, a lot of the time in a traffic jam on the M1 - the second time after I had been driving quite quickly for over three hours. I have never set anything on the info centre (as without the handbook I don't know how to)

The second problem was the engine imobilisor light started flickering on and off for a few minutes then stayed on for a few minutes before going out only to come back on a few minutes later. I stopped for some fuel and when I restarted the engine the light remained off.

Any ideas? It's a long way to Greens from North Yorkshire!

The rest reminder flashes after approximately 2 hours driving which is quite amusing when it first happens (nice tree and picnic table).

You just reset this and it isn't a problem.

Sorry can't help you with the other.

Monkfish are in Northampton and are very good and a bit nearer that Greens if you need help.

The first of your problems is built into the car, after a couple of hours a bloke under a tree is displayed and it encourages you to take a brake. Don't know about the other.

Bloody strange because the "picnic table" has never appeared before and I've had a couple of trips to Monkfish (cheers to Roger for fitting the ripshifter on Monday) which is over a 3-hour run from here in North Yorks. It must e Gremlins!

By the way - I do recommend the ripshifter (once you get used to it)

you can turn the picnic table reminder off in the menu

when car starts up look at where it says vauxhall in the lcd, it will then say press up or down for menu. Go in there and you have loads of options

Also if you want to get rid of the over speed, as I did, when driving press mode until you get the over speed settings in the left lcd pod. You then press and hold set then press the up arrow till it is 130mph
