I just called up Motorbodies in Luton (I trust I can name them since it's not really shaming) and they quoted £34.84 for a Monaro oil filter!

I made a quick call to Monkfish who confirmed they only charge £6.12. I called MB back and asked him to check the price but said they get regular updates and the price is set by Vauxhall. Is this right? Caspy, what do you guys charge?

As an aside, anyone know a good place to get some Millers CFS 5w40? I found this place:

www.lkperformancestyling.co.uk/

doing it for £40+VAT for 5l and £10+VAT for 1l. Anyone know anywhere cheaper? Paul-C? (I'm following your recommendation)

don't know if they're cheaper but Dastek in Fife are official dealers and stock the full Millers range. Might be worth giving them a call

I either collect from their shop in Brighouse www.millersoils.net/index2.html or get it from Monkfish. Use CFS 10W-40.

Hehe, well if it works it works

So 10w40 CFS is what I want? My engine is stock (with a tune) so I don't know if it's overkill but I want to keep it healthy so it's probably worth the extra. I just don't want to put something unsuitable in it.

It is the best oil you can put in your engine without question. I swear by it

I'm not going to argue, I'll get it all ordered tomorrow, I didn't realise Monkfish stocked it.

Millers Oils won the prestigious ITM best aftermarket lubricants award for 2004/2005 (also 2002) They are heavily involved in Motorsport with a technical back-up second to none. In Engine Dyno tests on two big power competition turbo engines a power increase of just over 3 BHP was measured compared to several other types including the one you mentioned. I have had zero problems related to oil since using it compared to using other well known brands in various engines over several years. Oil pressure is more stable, and higher using CFS than other brands I have used. Despite their advanced specification (ie 3 Ester fully synthetic)it is cheaper. CVL is an FIA approved Octane Booster! I could go on but I discovered, unless you are involved in Motorsport, Millers is probably the best kept performance secret.
