Was thinking recently about the Commodore HSVs that were officially imported to the UK in about 2000. There was a GTS and a GTS-R and I think only about 15 in the whole of the UK. Does anyone know anything about any of them or own one? Would love to see an amazing car again.

I have one, as do plenty of other people here. Someone will be along with the proper numbers in a minute, alternatively do a search, there's plenty of related stuff on it. Great car, I absolutely love mine

Have a look at www.hsvdriversclub.co.uk under owners cars, you will find more info there. I have a VXII GTS.

Thanks Wells for your nice comments. Funny thing is the Holden (and HSV dealer starting in the next week or so) here in Port Macquarie is Bob Todd. Yes the car will come home if not sold, but other things to sort out first.

I bought a new GTS-R in 2001.Had always had 2 seaters ( mainly TVRs)but when the patter of tiny feet appeared I had to look at other options.I tried every 4 seat performance car available, most of them bored the pants of me.I narrowed it down to an M5 and the HSV(at the time there wasn't much difference in price!)The M5 didn't make me want to jump back in like the HSV.It is without doubt the best car I have ever owned, quickish, reliable, rare mega comfy and cheap to maintain. Was going to keep it a year and kept it 4,eventually selling to a fellow Pistoheader and I believe it recently sold again.Loved it.

Is it worth it? By all accounts they look to be selling around £10,000 locally these days.
