3.9 diff - very stealthy - gears are changed inside the unit, nothing visible from underneath unless you add cooler or extra support. Meant to give equivalent upgrade in acceleration a 50bhp increase would give, least thats how its been described before now. You need to change gear sooner but doubt you'd notice any change in fuel consumption, top speed would be slightly reduced.

excellent stuff!
Highly recommend it had mine 18 months now and done major miles, one track day and it has worked faultlessly.
It gives you real punch and more immediate launch when you step on the gas. My only commment would be if you are going to supercharge over 500hp it may not be worth it unless you upgrade to Racelogic traction control as well. I am running around 490hp NA and torque not far behind and in any damp conditions wheelspin occurs even in 4th gear heading towards three figs.
So if you had 500+ torque it will make for a lot of fun and burnt rubber
No change in fuel consumption and it makes 6th gear more useable on the motorway so change down less

Quaife offered to do a run of diffs for the Monaro if we could put together a bulk order of 10+ units. Needed a minimum order to setup the tooling. Maybe one of the dealers could pursue this further?
Why would you want to use a Quaife unit? They are OK for motosport but I'm not sure how durable these units will be in a road car with higher mileage. Rover used a torson unit that is simular in design, the car was a nightmare on wet handeling as the diff had very different torque bias from left to right side.
What is the problem with the standard Holden LSD?
