Well people, I saw the VXR8 today.

Via my local dealer, I managed to arrange a meet up point as the main man from Vauxhall was taking the car to a location near where I was working.

For me, I needed to see it in the flesh. See what the boot and cabin space was like for me and my family members.

The car is superb!. Ticks all the boxes for me.
I took some pictures too but I cant get them on this thread.

Do I need to put the pictures on a webpage?. If so, I dont have one so I can email someone the files if they can put them on this thread. Email me....

Regards,
Mike

Look very spacious. I love from the front seats too, they look almost as mental as the ones in the Audi RS4.

Those brakes look serious too.

That number plate crops up on the press cars each time.
Mr AnnieVXR is now trying to convince me that the dog would be able to fit in this car!!!!
He keeps talking about doing a test drive, but I know how that ends up, with us signing on the bottom line!!!!

How do those brakes compare to the APs? The press release reckoned 60-0 was quicker than a Diablo, I saw a Lambo at a recent exhibition and the brakes were huge, looked like it would be running on the discs if it had a puncture!

The brakes are AP's and are bigger than the current upgrade set.

Any idea whether the exhaust/remap will have similar effects on it?

its always bright in the lower left section

Now what strikes me is that the rear seats dont look as good as the rears in the Ro... not that I care as I dotn spend time in them but my passengers do.

Great to see a propper boot space, noticing the stud pattern would those brakes fit the Ro or not? Was sure someone said last night the answer was no

I looks like it's got room for 3 in the back though, unlike the 'ro.

Those are mahoosiv brakes.
Are they 4 or 6 pot on the front?

Presumably that press/test mule is exactly as the customers cars will be?

They are 4 pot calipers but swept area is the same as per the old 6 pots. The car is as std production car and has no 'test' car additions.
