Doesnt matter, its a pcm limitation. It wont recognise any more air than that no matter how much you uprate it. I might have been somewhat harsh however as there are ways around it, they are just not ideal.
no way of tapping into that element of the pcm routine then so mafless is the way to go... I'm still not sure about doing it with the variations of fuel etc on tap but eventually I'll be convinced
Yeah do some research, you will find that there is no difference other than the MAF handling engine wear/mods better than SD.
SD is a static map of engine efficiency. MAF reads the engines airflow dynamically with rpm and air temp. SD derrives it from the air pressure, rpm and temp.
It just means with mafless that each mod really needs a retune. With the MAF it will adjust to a certain extent. Never 100% as the maf isnt totally operational until over 4000rpm, under that the OEM PCM runs a mix of speed density and maf anyway, due to the fact that MAFs are slow to read and dont work too well at low rpm, especially with cams etc.
Take a look at what the Ozzies recommend. 95% will tell you mafless.
Its a contentious topic though kind of like ford v holden, or england v ireland in rugby etc. Pro's and Con's on both sides.
Best thing is to read up on it over on ls1tech.com and ls1.com.au etc. Then decide which way you want to go. Ive been Mafless for the last 20,000 miles.

Those brakes will be option 2 on this page:
www.jhp.com.au/monaro-gto/gto-performance-brakes.php
An improvement over standard VXR brakes (option 1) but not massively bigger. I've heard the harrop calipers can need a bit of TLC.

I think one of the issues for me is the cross drilled discs on the AP's. Just had bad experience with drilled before as have others and if you are spending such an outlay I'd personally prefer something not drilled. Sounds silly?
defo not. Drilled discs crack...period.
Porsche discs are made with the holes cast in though...so less chance of stress cracks appearing at the holes.
I wouldnt buy drilled discs.
