is that a hint of sarcasm in your voice - I'm guessing so because the site linked from their banner ad is still not open - 2 mins after I clicked the link - and yeah I do have broadband before anyone asks So far I've got the white menu bar bit and a dark grey background. I did have a flash of a vxr8 body panel but its now vanished.

edit: okay okay so I'm a tt - the dark grey is the site and the flash of the vxr body panel was linked to the menu as i moved over it. I blame the Magners I've been drinking for the last couple of hours.

As you can see it is still a long way from finished but now it is live I am forced to keep adding stuff............

I kept the front page simple (may be to simple!) I might need to add "click here"

There will be lots of video/sound clips and tech info as well, so I hope you keep an eye on the site.

hi wortec1, bit of constructive criticism. The menu system, get rid of hte drop down photos when you hover/click the link. When you open say the monaro screen the menu drops to the bottom and the picture gets clipped.

Also what screen resolution have you designed it for? The best res for most compatibility is still 800x600 beleive it or not. Even though a lot of people have monitors way bigger than that the majority run at 1024x768

Currently about 60% of users run at 1024x768 so an 800x600 works very nice for most people. IF you are not going to offer dynamic scaling you need to fix it for a set resolution.

always happy for feed back.............

I am happy to have the have the pictures crop on the right hand side as I intend to keep the main content within the lefthand (800x600) area.

The pictures on the buttons (front page) help some people to see they are buttons when cursered over (or not in some cases) and as they have loaded on frame one they cost nothing to re use on other pages.

fair do's with the buttons.

Take it that its not fully live yet as I couldnt see anything on the Ro? Are you guys planning any brake package alternate to the AP's? A kind of 1 up from the VXR hubs but cheaper alternate to APs (pref not drilled...)?

the middle ground brake option is £1600 but feed back from most was it was not enough of a performance uprade to warant the money as the AP's are such a good product and price.

So we dont list them........(i have a set of front drilled discs if your interested) add a set of Monkfish pads and it might be an improvement on your stock set up........contact info@wortec.co.uk if you need more info...

As for the site it is a LONG way from finished but I am working on it (and a million other things!!!!)

cheers but not after drilled discs

I think for reality I am happy with even the stock cv8 set up but will go with uprated pas at some point. If I was going to track the car I'd def upgrade but until I've done other work for the road am happy with stock set up...

That site will be the major info site for the new model and will be linked into the HSV Drivers club site (and poss VXRonline)

I am trying to keep "Wortec" and "HSV drivers Club" stuff in their own part of cyber space........

If you are happy with stock CV8 brakes, why are you driving a monaro? They are absolute pants for anything other than gentle run to sainsbury's !! Sorry, but had to chuck that in !

and to chuck in the obvious reply, maybe the standard brakes are pants for the track but for the road they are more than up to the task
