I'm so interested in the VXR8 I can't quite believe it - I've been thinking I wanted a V8 of some sort as my next car and was thinking of the Audi S4 (RS4 nice but a bit high price for me) but it looks so dull and I'm on a bit of an anti-German car thing at the moment (Cayman S currently which is great but too well engineered for me to be honest, I think I prefer a slightly flawed character... not to say the VXR8 will be flawed but just not so electronically engineered or fine tuned as some of the German offerings out there today).

So, been all over the HSV section of holden.com and I see some interesting colours - fusion and ignition looking pretty interesting to me and I just wondered what colours might be coming to the UK - I'm hoping not limited to red/black and silver. Any ideas yet?

Cheers,
Richard.

Llimited to red/black and silver, most likely. Unfortunately. Like you I think some of the weirder colours are fantastic, but the chances of getting them as an official import are nil, I'd say.

You spoil us.....

yes I understand that you have to import what you can sell, and fair enough. But it's OK to have a moan. Still. I hope.

Down to the mothership!! They wanted the colours to match the rest of the VXR range initially, but the fact that they are taking the note of public opinion and willing to listen and change is a good thing and underlines their commitment to delivering what customers want within reason.

Fair point. Here's hoping. Although I actually like the official VXR colours (silver apart) purple sounds ace.

Seems a bit of an odd comment; why would they be bringing colours that the customers don't want?

The initial feedback was that people were happy with the colour choice.

Thanks for the info guy's, although I'm a little dissapointed with the colour choice I can understand the logic behind it and there's also the fact that if people want the car they'll still have it even with a reduced colour list - that includes me, I wouldn't wait 'til 08 on the off chance there's a better selection. Just seems that such an extreme car is crying out for the more extreme colour choices (my heart says that but my head says residual values will be better on the more mainstream colours - can't win).

For me it's likely to be red or black I reckon - might look around for some real world pic's of the blue.

Thanks again.
