255/35 fitted perfectly on our 04 CV8, 265 may cause some rubbing issues if you don't roll the arches...

I would go for standard fit.

Maybe you would have problems claiming off insurance if you had non-standard tyres on? I don't know but they don't need much of an excuse normally to not pay up!

I have gone for 245/40/18's on my CV8 from 235/40/18's. I think 255 or 265 ust will not fit as it is lowered from normal. Based on all the posts on here I have gone for the Eagle F1's - they better be good!!

I would stick to the standard width on the front! Tyres run too close to the strut, have a feel with your fingers. I will probably opt for 255/35/19 on the rear when the time comes.

I noticed that when I tried to fit new KW coilovers at the weekend, interestingly the KWs have much more clearance, as they use a smaller diameter spring

whats the max width you can run to on standard rims - or is any change in width going to require some new hoops?
