Not that I'm thinking of buying a Monaro to replace our family car, but does anyone have experience of shoe-horning kids into the back of theirs. We have a 6 month old, and two 5 yr olds - is it ridiculous to think that I could get them all in from time to time?

Cheers,

There is acres of room in the back for two kids the only slight niggle is the slow moving lectric seat to get them in and out but no real issue..

Mine are 10 and 7 Will. Tried to explain issues regardign traffic law but they just it is too much fun and thsi is genuine "the policeman probably couldn't you anyway". Just for teh avoidance of doubt 70 mph (in third) feels very fast to a 7 year old on a motorway with a roaring V8 soundtrack

Best bet is to go & have a cup of tea while the seat reverses

You could buy an HSV 4 door version as they have 3 seats in the back, see the adverts such as the Holden HSV UK one. Not my car but did think about it for the wife. We used the monaro last year for 6 weeks in europe (wife flew with the little ones) and used a full harness for the smallest, not ideal but better than nothing (like you get in a taxi). Would not do it as a rule though hence the second car now has 5 seats.

I had a full size child seat in mine (right pain to get it in the back mind) and now on a booster.

Think I tried a child seat once and gave up, the booster seat if fine though but back it with a roll of the toolbox liner rubber/neoprene stuff to protect the seat.

Brilliant child seat, mine has HSV cloth badges over the Recaro emblem, suits 9 months+ to 9 years too, be a bit heavy for some mums as it has an alloy frame underneath, best seat out there IMAO & about £200 from memory

Do you guys know the actual model of this Recaro seat?

My littl'un is not long away from a change of seat to a forward facing one (already!) and any info would be a big help.

Cheers!
