New Radio Wiring Adaptor
Discussion
Hi
Anyone fitted an aftermarket radio know of a readily available wiring loom adaptor to connect the ISO aftermarket head unit to our existing wiring?
I read somewhere on the LS1 forum that our connector was just the same as a VW one, but can't find that info again for love nor money.
Cheers

on mine the iso connectors supplied with a pioneer headunit plug straight into the sockets on the existing loom. The current sockets are clipped into the double din frame, unclip them, swap the 12v perm and switch feeds around on the loom supplied with the new headunit (normally yellow and red wires - and they are normally on bullets so you can do this too) and it's done (this applies to pioneer headunits). you may also need an aerial din adaptor (about £4 from halfords). 04 cv8.
yep do a search (on the posts, may be in the faq too) but it only works with certain headunits, £50 I think. Make sure you check the headunits (if single din) into the adaptor at say halfords before you buy one as the curve of the adaptor prevents the use of some, i.e. the jvc AVRx type.
Hello,
Yes, the most popular ones are PAC - www.pac-audio.com/products/productsCatagory.asp?mmSearch=Steering%20Wheel%20Interface
I used the one called PAC-JACK on my JVC DVD.
Cheers
