Just read your first post. Really suprised that no-one has mentioned Monkfish. They're probably the closest to you, located at Brackley. Only downside is that if you go to them, it is the rocky road to ruin - you'll end up with a re-map and loud exhaust just for starters. Strange thing is that you will willingly pay up, and love every minute of it! Speaking seriously though, excellent & knowledgable service.
Linden Special Vehicle are in Wellingborough, again specialists for our cars. They gave me excellent advice (Do I really mean that? It cost me two Monaros instead of an old Lambo. Yea, think so, no real doubt on that...)
Also the Vauxhall agents are Groses in Northampton. My personal experience is that their bodyshop dept were excellent when I needed their advice, but their workshop threatened me with loss of warranty for Monkfish servicing my first car. Vauxhall sorted them out though and suddenly the Monkfish angle wasn't a problem!
All in all plenty of choice compared with some other parts of the country.
