Does anyone know what pre-reg VXR are left now (colours) and where the best deals are on offer? Would also consider nearly new. Looked a couple of months ago, but wasn't quite ready. What I've seen this week seems a bit confusing...a big range of prices for what looks like the same thing. Or am I missing something?

Pretty much all thats left is red and silver.
They should all be at about the 27000 mark although I suspect that as the numbers fall off toward zero (which i suspect they are close to now) some dealers or companys holding stock who arn`t really dailled into the Monaro scene may try for a premium.
Picadors are offering cars with a remap and exhaust which represent V good value for money as you WILL have some mod done.(at some time)
Happy hunting.

I bought one in quick silver about a month ago for £26800, 50 miles on the clock. Tried numerous different dealers most looking for £28000 or £29000 worst of all was a monaro specialist who had a black one with 3000 miles on the clock and he wanted £32000!!!!!!!!

Hello,

There is a silver one on ebay at the moment from a dealer, it is going for £26500 and silver. Only 30 miles on it.

There were a couple on PH recently (may still be here) for £26,500, and I'd assume that they would sell them for less if pushed. I don't think the last few will command a premium - not with the new VXR8 just around the corner. The new VXR's arrival will mean that there will be quite a few used current model VXR's on the market soon as owners trade in to the new model.
Or you can get a Green's supercharged pre-reg VXR for £32K currently.

Do you mean Picador's 400 mile Demo VXR with 500HP in Red, or do Greens have one also.

You see...this is the problem. Supercharged, intercooled, Wortec, remap etc etc....and loads of different prices. Too many options and combinations. I don't know much about cars, but I know a bit about marketing, and give somebody too much choice and they end up doing nothing. Here I am - doing nothing.

JUMP!!!!! just get off the fence and JUMP! There is no such thing as the perfect deal when it comes to cars, if you want it, buy it. yes, I just have, would have loved to have been on here earlier, but confirmation of order only came through today as they took it off the transporter. (YES!)

Read lots of posts, do some searching. Plan things then decide.
Jumping into thorn bushes can be painful. Best to jump somewhere nice. A visit to one of the dealers like Greens should have you being able to sample a few different variations of vehicle and tune to help you make a choice.

Hi Capsy,

That is a good deal.

Why don't you list your cars in the classifieds link on the hsv.org.uk homepage?

Hang about! I have just read your profile, there is not one car in there that would fall into the category of "jumping somewhere nice" laugh

Showing my age here but used to rally a 3.3 Ventura, does that count?

In a word Yes.
Same year, colour and model anyway.

Just got back from Bellingers in Oxfordshire, they have a few 07 plate cars, one I saw only had 9 miles on it!!

They appeared to have VXR's in red/silver and black plus an assortment of non vxr pre reg cars.

Good Luck,
