414hp and 295lbft torque 8000+ revs - a screamer to rival Audi's engine and its lighter than teh old 3.2 flat six.
Still well down on LS torque outputs..

am i alone in thinking the 335i is really better value for money than the new m3???
Am sure it will be a nice car but it certainly is down on looks compared to the previous generation. It will probably muller a ro off the line but in gear on the move acceleration will prob shift back to the ro for game/set/match

Mr Greens when did I ever defect??????
Stigmund agree with you--- catch the new M3 in the right gear and at right revs and it will probably fly, but my experience around Bedford when runing about 440hp was that the old M3 would stay with you until about 90mph then just go backwards at a quite a surprising rate!!!
Oh it never balck flagged for making too much noise....the officials aplogised that they had too because it as such good noise as well....

I noticed that on the private runway between Swindon and Chippenham. So funny watching m3's go backwards like that
