Matilda is driving me mad !
Alarm seems to go off for no reason at all
Spent 4/5 hours washing/drying/polishing etc with Alarm left set... got inside ...feeling job well done ....first sip of cuppa and Alarm goes off...regular daily occurrence at work with rest of staff now just taking the Micky....cos your not driving her hard enough !!
Any one else got/had alarm problems ?

The dash display usually tells you which door triggered the alarm, ie Driver's or Passengers. Check the load trim in the boot around the catch as this can cause false alarms if not fitted properly or loose. This leads the alarm to think that the boot has been opened without authority. Might also need to check alignment of door catches.
Battery charge should also be checked as a drop in voltage can trigger the alarm as well. If it's an 06 CV8, then the battery will be at least a year old and sitting around in Vauxhall's car pound for almost the same amount of time doing nothing won't have done it any favours.
Most false alarms on these cars are caused by the fact that after market alarms are fitted and the factory ones are still left in place and still very much active and they don't like each others alarm fobs!! (I know yours is standard but this is one of my problems not helped by the numpty's at my local dealership)
Hope the above is of some use.
