Bonnet Vents

Has anyone removed the plastic inserts in the vents, if so is it worth doing?

Some guys say you should remove the seal along the back of the bonnet by the windscreen. Then you will get a throughflow of air. Just taking the seals out wont let get the throughput.

If it helps keep intake temps down it will result in more power. Just not sure how much help it will be.
