Knock from front left steering/suspension
Discussion
I've just started noticing this in the last few days. Basically when I steer full left and then start steering the other direction I get a knock/rubbing sound, like 2 bits that aren't meant to touch are touching. It's just a sound, I don't feel it through the wheel but it's almost certainly coming from the front left wheel well. I had a quick look in the arch this morning to see if it was just some loose plastic arch liner or something but it doesn't seem to be. I also very occasionally get a knock when hitting a bump/hole negotiating mini roundabouts (i.e. with a decent amount of knock). I'm guessing the 2 are related.
Does anyone have an idea what it might be? Strut bearing? Worn bush?
The car only has 23k-ish on the clock and has never been off-road (although with the roads round here like they are it might aswell have been - but I'm always very careful on shitty town roads)
Cheers,
Mackie

Well mine's a 7 year old, 60k, GTS and the dealer I got it off in January sorted it out under the 3 month warranty no bother at all so I imagine a Monaro still on factory warranty should be no problem. They got Mark at LSV(now Rapid)to do it and it took him about 30 minutes a side. He reckoned mine went at a fairly typical mileage but they can fail earlier, bearings being a bit like lightbulbs if you like.
