Has anyone removed the front bonnet badge? The round one? Does it leave a nice smooth bonnet underneath, or is there a depression where the badge sits? Mine's just kinda stuck on with sticky foam and it sits proud of the bonnet, which isn't the neatest badge I've ever seen!

There's a Red VXR in advertised at Picador's at the moment, and in the pics it is without a badge on the front. Just nice and smooth! Definately something on my wish list of things to do.

If you`re talking about LS2 6.0 VXR`s (with nostrils) mine never had one and bonnet`s dead straight.
Didn`t know they had a badge.

Yes, mine's a 6.0 LS2 - the badge looks a LOT like an afterthought (did the Holden variants have front badges?) so I guess it would look a lot neater without. Hairdryer and floss it is then!

or just use hot water instead of the hairdryer - worked for me on the Monaro and the Astra. You can get a HSV replacement badge - have seen several on Ebay designed to sit on the bonnet where the Vauxhall one sits.

You can lever The Vauxhall badge gently off and the bonnet is smooth underneath with no recess (mine is a 6litre VXR by the way) If the gluey foamy stuff sticks to the paint just touch it with white sprit and clean off immediately and the paint will not be harmed or go dull. I did the same for all VXR badges and replaced them with HSV GTO Coupe badging including the V8 side pieces (which break by the way) with the upturned triangular 6 litre GTO badge. Best of luck

That's quite interesting. The bonnet badge looks a bit nasty and makes cleaning the bonnet a pain (and it retains water...). Looks like I might be debadging...

Just did mine, came off as easy as anything. I just used a bit of fishing line and a hairdryer. Anything left I just took off with Megs Paint Cleaner and voila, no badge!

Only problem is there is a tiny tiny dent where the badge used to be
