I posted a topic about moving my VZ clubsport a few weeks ago and received an excellent response - thanks to all.

hsvgtscoupe was a responder that had imported his GTS and I am not sure how to email him, so figured I would post another one.

I have looked into the approval process at that end and it does not seem too difficult, but am not sure what mods I need.

A fog light mod was mentioned. Do I need special ones, or do I just get my current white light fog lights replaced with yellow ones? Is that all?

Also, is there something special I will need to get insurance over there? Anyone care to throw me some estimates on the rough insurance cost?

Finally (I think :-)), I saw some mention of a "valet mode" on a previous post. Anyone care to let me know what that is/ how I get it. Sounds interesting.

Thanks heaps in advance

Byron

Hi Byron,

stick hsvgtscoupe in the search function in the toolbar and you will find Julian. Fog lights in the front will be OK but you will need one in the rear. You can email A Plan for insurance, they sponsor HSV.org.uk or try www.confused.com
Valet mode is a switch that tells the computer to limit the performance of the car, like most things it would be cheaper to have it done in Aus.

Thanks. BTW, you reminded me. For the changeover to mph, can I just get a change made to my computer so that the LCD reads MPH, but leave the original dash? I am assuming that I cannot get an original HSV dash in mph.

How have other peaople handled this?

P.S - will email A plan re: fog lights

dash has to read in MPH or both and has to be accurate at 70 mph. one mph over or two or three is acceptable, they are very strict with this. Rear fog lamp again has to be in specific place as well, with an inside indicator lamp. A bulb inside rear lamp is no good.

You can do the mph change with a tune tool. Basically recalibrate the speedo signal. Not sure about making the display say MPH. But the dial you can put a sticker over it, like the early VT and VX imports had.
