Got into the car this (rather cold) morning and noticed after about 5 miles I was still freezing. I put the climate control onto 22 degrees C/Auto and noticed the passenger side vents were all pumping out nice, warm air while the vents on my side were all chucking out freezing cold air.

Any ideas?

BTW, temp on display is 22 on both sides.

Could be that the drivers side has become disconnected from the heater coil somehow and it's just pumping in outside air?

my climate control regularly does weird and wonderful things with the temperature - will suddenly pump out very warm air for 30secs and then freeze your nuts off cooling it down again etc. Never really worked the way I would have expected it to but hey who cares when you spend half the time with the windows down listening to the exhaust burble anyway

I've never worked out why the system takes so loooooong to start working after the engine is started.
On pretty much every other car I've had the air con works virtually straight away.

Funny mines started doing exactly the same thing over the last couple of weeks. Warm out of the pass side cold out of driver side. Also the climate keeps flicking out of auto and the heater modes keep changing. I can also hear a mechanical popping sound when I switch the mode from say screen to feet as though the system is a bit sticky and is having trouble reconfiguring.

Lets us know if you find the problem, but in the meantime I'm gonna get it booked in the garage.

Also, I had it repaired under warranty a couple of months ago. I think they replaced one of the servos that opens and closes the vents. If it's playing up you will normally see a little black cross appear in the display to indicate all is not well.

Mine does the same as yours - the mode changes as "Auto" sees fit. I think it thinks it knows best! Try this - put passenger side on High and the Driver side on Low, then press the "Auto" button for a few seconds until the displays synchronise. Next put it on 22 degrees on Auto and leave it. After doing this I found I started to get heat on the drivers side.
