Broken interior flap.

I have a broken storage compartment flap, the one by the hand brake.

Anyone else has the same problem.

The funny thing is the retainer piece that broke looks like one off a simplehuman round soft touch bin I have in the kitchen

We have had the Bin replaced twice.

So many people have the same problem.

Does anyone know on the monaro how to replace the flap as this is what has broken?

Is it the securing lug? if so make one yourselfe and fit as I did.

Hi Ian

Sorry for the delay in getting a photo for you. Its not easy trying to get the camera to focus on the bit you want. from photo you can see it is just a piece of aluminium bent at right angle which will slot into the catch opening.

You can also see the small lip on the back side of clip, this was made from a dab of poxy resin allowed to dry then file to enable it to latch in the catch. make sure to get the latching to work in the catch before sticking it to lid with epoxy resin.

Hope this helps, it will be easier if you still have the broken bit to see more clearly what I mean.
