Stock length connecting rods

Anyone know why 6.100" LS1 rods are advertised when the stock length is 6.098"?

Can they be used with a stock block and OEM crank?

Only if your valve/pistons clearance is less than 2 thou.

It should be fine. But make sure you check the piston to head clearance.

Don't forget that that's the pushrod, so prior to the rocker arm ratio acting...

Given that they're 1.7:1 as standard, then you're talking 0.0034" presumably?

No, valve to piston clearance is just that - but I know what you're on about. If you're calculating the event timing from the cam lobe profile, then yes, you would need to take the rocker's active ratio into account.

If it's less than that already you're in trouble lol

Absolute min clearance you'd be looking is 40thou, and even then I'd want more

2 thou in rod length really is negligible.
