rear wheel sensors

Hi does any one know how far the rear wheel sensors should sit away from the reluctor ring as I have one with a damaged bracket but is also giving me error codes, and the other looks like you could drive a bus through the gap, so think this is set wrong. In my experience with these I think they should be set about 1 to 2 mm away. Also any idea as to where I can get a sensor and cost? Its on a Monaro

It can depend, but I'd expect less than 1mm.
