Unfortunatly after subjecting my ears to Ted Nugent feedback demonstrations and far to many hours loitering in the pits at Santa Pod Top Fuel meetings, my ears are way past there prime, so on a number of occasions I have had comments made about about noises eminating from under the bonnet of the Monaro, noises that I can't hear confused.

I recently exposed the contents of my engine bay to a mechanic I have a fair amount of trust in, and who has been far more sympathetic to his ears than I have over the years, his comment was "you have a, or some noisy pulleys there" so are there well known culprits on an LS2 engine that become noisey, have other owners had similar problems with noisey pulleys on the Auxillary Belt ?

Yes I replaced my pulleys and belts just after I bought mine, very easy to do yourself. Just take a note of the part number on the ribbed auxillary belt as there are different lengths.

Jerry, if you changed the pulleys yourself, did you manage to find the torque settings for the fixing bolts ? if you did, could you point me in the right direction.

Best on that sort of job, no point in changing one or two just do them all and new belt and it's sorted.

As for torque settings, if you cant find in the manual then standard settings will be fine like in the chart below, noting the tensile strength number on top of bolt, if no number go for the lower tensile setting.
