Monaro Oil Pressure

Hi Guys
I started my Monaro this morning ( 6.0 ) and the oil pressure gauge was reading 6 bar on idle when it normally reads about 4 when its cold. I turned the engine off and turned the ignition on and the gauge was reading 6 bar without engine running. Could it be the oil pressure sender and if so where is it located.

my mate had this on his,it was the sender that failed,they don't seem that reliable. some where on the back of the block iirc.

Correct, almost certainly the sender.
