Driving past Melborune central last thursday,

I saw an excellent power slide U turn around there when I was there in Oct 05.

Yup, Flinders Street station, looking up towards Swanston Street. A nice Hungry Jacks up on the left as I seem to remember!

Whats a power slide Nige, is that where you loose it pulling out of a tee junction and look like a right dick! Wouldnt mind taking lessons to prevent that happening again.

A power slide is due to excessive right foot use.
A good one is not "lost at a T junction" but controlled with just the right amount of throttle to drive at a 45 deg angle up the road for a while before politely correcting to straight ahead all the while under excess wheel spin.
This is obviously done on track days only.. Or if in Melboune at major intersections in the rain.
