Afternoon all.

Trying to connect a CTek trickle charger to a T350.

I'd rather not cut up a CTek cable so is there a specific Anderson plug to CTek charger available?
Or is there another solution to connecting up to the Anderson socket with the crocodile clips?
I presume one side is negative and one positive?

Buy an Anderson plug and make your own ... Simple once you realise Anderson connectors just clip in and can be pushed out quite easily with it a bit practice.

I have an Anderson type 'jump start' connector at the front of the engine bay on my Chimaera, and to charge the battery I just connect the charger's crocodile clips to that, with one jaw on the outside of the plastic casing and the other on the metal contact inside.

If you have a 12volt socket in a T350 as in a Tuscan they are permanently live so you can get a CTEK connector for this, just plugs into the lead from the CTEK.

IF you intend to use the factory OE fitted Anderson connection, do check that it is good condition (see my picture). As OE, M8 set bolts had been spun up through the original M6 handle holes creating their own thread in the plastic, which as the bolts rusted they expanded and burst the connector! IMHO, take the battery out and double check it is in one piece (I created a S/S M6 plate with two welded on nuts and replaced the mounting bolts with full shank S/S special bolts that ended up with 6 threads that clamped to the chassis correctly.

Back on topic I created my own adapter to the charger using a new Anderson plug adding an in-line fuse and have used it for the last 5 years regularly. A@

Accumate, rather than Ctek, so you get the idea

If you do need to replace the anderson socket then maybe also worth fitting a boot to stop water running down into it.
