Has anyone here removed the engine from a Tamora? How difficult is it and what facilities do you have access to?
It's the dreaded time for a top end rebuild and I'm told the engine has to come out from underneath. Not exactly being too flush with funds at the moment, I'm contemplating doing the spanner work myself (Have previously rebuilt several high perf engines including 2L Sierra Cosworth and Porsche 928, so not daunted by the lump) Its the actual removal/re-installation process that is a little worrying)

If you've had a top end rebuild - who did it and how happy are you with the results (and how much did it cost) - I realise this may be the subject of a seperate thread.

if you are keen to have a go yourself have a search on the speed 6 engine forum, a bloke on here did his own and has done a comprehensive write up on the project, I think his name is petrolhead pete but not sure, once you get past 50 the memory goes a bithehe
