Hi

Just got my new T350 yesterday and i'm totally in love with it. Main issue i've got so far is can't get my bloody seatbelt on and wondering if this is a common issue? It's basically locked in position and can't be pulled out. I have the seat back to furthest position too. I'm not sure how to solve it and not too keen in driving with it off, any ideas how to fix it

Yeah,

had this once before, there was a thread on this, something about it not being level triggering the inertia thingy wink

It can be very difficult. I found unless the car is on very flat ground then it can be problem.

TADTS! Drivers side is fine, passenger side can be an arse on even the most shallow of inclines.

Make sure you do not lean completely backwards. The more weight I put on my seat the more difficult it is to get it out.

Try unspooling the webbing strap until its as far out as it will go, then re-spool it gently, allowing the tensioer to take in the strap.

Mine had this treatment, and after respooling was much much better.

Worth a try, before you start taking it to bits.

Not long brought my 1st TVR T350 and got a similar issue with my belts, thankfully the previous ovner warned me, to get your belt free if it stuck and you can't get the inertia tensioner to release you can un bolt the top seat belt guide attached to the roll bar behind a plastic cover, it's a long lot too!! It will come totally out and give you plenty of slack to free the inertia tensioner. In future you just have to be really patient with the belts and pull them on slowly. Don't expect to change the radio once your in and driving without taking your belt off!

The seatbelt spool for a T350 is basically not mounted in the correct planes ie it leans forward slightly and can also acquire a bit of a lean to the front or rear. To resolve remove the cover and check how the spool is 'sitting' against the inner sill and after loosening the mounting bolt set it level (if you decide to remove said bolt be aware it is very long)!
You will also probably find that on left hand bends it will release from the locked position and you can then extend the belt !!!
