Sorry for repetition, but I'm stuck with my Tam in lots of bits.

How do you remove the gearbox? The shifter is fouled by the opening of the transmition tunnel?

We slacked off the engine mounts to undo the bell housing, which is now free, but we can't get the bell + gear box back enough to uncouple it. It seems the shifter need to be removed, and we have removed two grub screws at the base of the shifter... But it doesn't free it?

My guru is away this week, and I'm trying to get on the road for goodwood, so any advice would be greatly apriciated.

Thanks,

Stu

Removethe shifter plate, 4x m8 13mm a/f leaving the shifter & plate hanging in the car

Also leave clutch slave connected on the bell housing to save re-bleed if that helps

You need to undo the 4 bolts holding the top on and leave it hanging, then remove the box.

Ah, thank you!

We had marked this as the last resort... but it seemed a bit extreme. We didn't want to pull the selector fingers out if we didnt have to.

Back to work.
