Hi Guys,

After a long line of (very reliable) Alfa Romeo's, I've decided to add a bit of extra spice to the garage and so I've bought an April 2005 Tamora! I'll be getting it tomorrow.

What do I need to know?

Where can I get a Handbook?

Anything else?

Thanks,
Chris

You will need to post some pictures!

Warm her up properly.

Take care in the wet (and the dry)

Have fun.

Main bit of advice would be warm the car up properly. There are various threads on here about the correct proceedure (and is in manual), but in short, don't take the revs too high (say 3,000) until the oil temp is over 50-60 deg, and don't give in the full beans until way over 70 deg. Engine will suffer if you don't.

Other than enjoy it and take some painkillers because your face will ache from the smiles an hour you get!

You need the Varley Bible, strong underwear and an endless supply of super unleaded rofl

Thanks guys.
Will definately have some mechanical sympathy for the car. Aside from the string of Alfa's I work in motorsport and know what to avoid!

Pics will have to come in stages as she is a bit sore at the moment. Very light accident damage to the front and rear fibreglass. But that is ideal for me, as I'll be getting a conversion to a T350 front and rear end.

I'll be looking for suggestions along the way for colour and mods, and will start a build thread once the project is running.
The car has an immaculate Dark Blue interior with white edging and a blue hood so I'm currently thinking a light to medium blue, or maybe even a light green. Definately feel a lighter shade suits the T350 shape more...

Ah, no.
I did see that car but the damage to that one is a bit more than what I personally describe as 'light cosmetic'!

Phew! I thought that you'd be pretty brave to take that car on with that level of optimism! Good luck with the new project - post some picture updates when you can smile

As above, and also start getting used to grinning like a loon eveytime you:

a)drive it
b)talk about it
c)think about doing either of the above.

Enjoy

Having recently had a test dive of a Tamora at Harrogate in the rain (again) I would say you are very lucky to have such a serious drivers car with a hell of a sound track !
