Mines looking a bit worn, anyone know where i could get a new one, have tried the usual sources, was told they are a pig to remove without serious dammage from a salveged car,& there dont seem to be any new ones around.
Failing that, does anyone have any ideas on how to refurbish one, chrome paint etc.

That does look worn compared to mine. How many miles has car done? I am on 24K and looks pristine.

Sorry cannot help at all, just interested. smile

Mines only done 15k,not sure why it would go like that so quickly, only thing i can think of is that it fits to tight & rubs when you open & close it,its realy annoying as i love the way it looks & opperates,& dont want to change it for anything else, ive seen a few like the ones on the sagaris & i much prefer ours, but i hate it looking like it does.

HHC (hexham tvr) did one just recently (last year) on a T350 . If it hadnt been under a warrenty repair I suspect it would have cost a small fortune to do. Give them a call to see how feasible it is to
a) find new parts
b) have them machined to fit
c) etc

It can't be hard to do, assuming you have the part. My dealer replaced mine under warranty at around 1yr old as it looked like yours, they didn't mention it being a hard job. The replacement still looks like new. I think the shiney bit must be rubbing agains't something as it is opened/closed - maybe there is some way to make a small adjustment.
