Some T350C help gentlemen please...
Discussion
Hello all,
I'm new here and I have been contemplating buying a T350C for a few years now.
I have finally found one that I am very fond of that is with my local TVR specialist & I had a test drive today. It certainly didn't disappoint, but looking over the car there are a couple of little things that I would like to have sorted if I was to buy it, that I hadn't noticed on my first visit.
I am here just to clarify whether these were common problems or not:
1:- The bonnet has rubbed and fouled the inner wing and the opposite edge of the bonnet itself, only a little I must add. Now the dealer was keen to point this out to me, although I had already noticed it, and apparently this was quite a common problem?
2:- The diffuser has a slightly larger panel gap comparing one side to the other, has anyone else had this problem and have they been able to resolve it successfully?
3:- It is a later car and the filler cap has the screws, but there is also a slight discolouration of the paintwork around the filler, something I assume is common and due to the known issues with filling up?
The history is all sound and the dealer is a very nice, honest chap, so I have no reason not to take his word for it that these were common occurrences, but obviously piece of mind is very comforting.
Thanks in advance for your responses,
Mikedr.

Thanks very much for your responses chaps.
I have checked through the history and the accompanying invoices and everything is in order. It was only those little bits that were causing me slight concern, but my mind is at rest now I have it from other owners that these are indeed common issues.
As I mentioned, it is with a specialist and they have been more than keen to outline all the positives and negatives of the particular car as well as T350's in general.
Fortunately, having been tempted for so long, I have trawled through a lot of bits and bobs, but you can never have too much information so I will indeed browse the forum here to make sure I am familiar with the "character" traits.
Another thing I did forget to ask in my previous post, can anybody recommend a good car cover for the car as unfortunately, for the time being, I am unable to garage it.
Thanks again,
Mikedr

As mine's indoors I opted for the softer indoor version of the make I covered my Lotus with - Covercraft. Washable, soft, breathable and mildew resistant. They also make versions in a range of weather-proof materials, and all are tailored to fit.
You can also pick similar ones up from Racing Green, the TVR Car Club and various other places.
