I haven’t checked the orange book yet, but any ideas how easy it is to replace a dead alternator? If it’s not beyond the realms of normal man, any tips and hints please?
Thanks!

Only tricky thing is tensioning the belt. Unless you fit a turnbuckle shaft - stainless versions available off evilbays.

Other than that, it is under the airbox. I would take the bonnet off (unless it's a Sag or Tuscan when you have too biggrin)

Electrics, disconnect battery for safety, yes tensioning a mare, need triple jointed arm. Leave door open when reconnecting battery in case it locks you out..

I found the hardest part was swapping over the pully.
Get a proper OEM one, not a cheapie.
As mentioned, using a turnbuckle makes belt tension adjustment a lot easier.
