Getting hot air out of the engine bay - Sagaris

I was having a little think around this over the weekend - I'm not too sure that the fans get the air out of the engine bay well enough. Has anyone had a play with putting 'chimneys' over the fans to properly channel the air out in a more direct manner?

Was watching a utube car build video the other day and the guy had fans in the engine bay for airflow... made me think about somehow directing fast fresh air over the 'insert cussword' engine mount...

Once my "solution" is finished - I'll post the pics. It does involve some minor bodywork changes though. I wanted them anyway, so I covered the two changes in one.
