Does anyones bonnet open automatically when the catch is pulled, or is it like mine, pull the catch and manually lift the bonnet at the same time.Im sure if a spring was placed in the correct place it would solve the problem.

Mine too. I think it's a 'feature'.

Does your bonnet touch the passenger wiper arm too?

Also, does anyone elses bonnet release lever 'dangle' down? I took the column trim off and it looks like TADTS as some kind of spring is needed in the mechanism.

Shouldn't do anymore, as this was one of the first fixes after the initial batch of customer cars (thank Flasher et al)

Mine does that too.

Had to go and see Dr Joolz the day after I got it cos I couldn't open the bonnet to check the oil. Felt a right muppet!

Have found that with a bit of gymnastics on the passenger side, I can open the catch, and rest the bonnet on the wiper. If it didn't snag the weight of the bonnet would drop it down onto the spring again, while you're going round to the offside to lift up the catch.
