A good day together,

for the modified SpeedSix 4,3L engines are very different maximum RPM limits specified.
According to my research, there are ranges from 6,500 to 7,250 rpm. What experiences have
you had and which RPM have you set your rev limiter?

Best regards
Thorsten

I still use the factory settings.

With the longer stroke on the 4.3 engine, I find the improvement in torque means I don't have to max out the revs in every gear to make brisk progress.

Whoever builds your engine / supplies the parts can advise on rev limits. The reving 'issues' were due to the poor choice of internal components by the factory to save money.

I have the rev lights on my non-rebuilt 3.6 set at 6000, 6200 and 6500 but do go to 7000 on occassion on track (if maintaining balance is better than changing up). 48000 miles so far.

4.3 & 4.5 owners I know seem to happily rev to and past 7000.
