Hello, I bought the 200 cell catalytic converters for aston Martin Vantage V8 of 2006 4.3 . I mounted them and I must say that the noise is very nice, maybe a little too much for me in the city.
Now I kindly ask you:
1.)
If I buy the Velocity ap ecu modification from DAE, does the noise stabilize and become less loud?
2.)
Do you think that by refitting the fuse 22 I could travel around the city in a more discreet way.?

Thank you for your kind feedback.
🙏🙏🙏
Ale

I don't see how a tune will make it less noisy

By refitting fuse 22 it will become quieter between 1500 and 3500rpm (although I understand that the second rpm value can be changed with a remap)

To make it quieter when you choose, you need to fit a 3 way exhaust valve switch.

Why did you not simply have your existing cats adapted, to make them 400 cell, together with a 3 way switch?
It is the modest cost solution for your period car and you would not have needed to ask your present question.

I don’t think mine are loud enough lol Refitting the fuse will help for ‘normal’ driving and as said an exhaust controller (CCCharger) would give you total control, open and close from a remote.

Please explain how the remote exhaust valve controller can keep the exhaust valves closed all the time.
Mine cannot do that.

I did exactly that! Now I'm super satisfied, there's no more metal barking, now 2,500 laps in the city with Fuse 22, then I'm unleashing hell beyond.
What impresses me is with the closed tubes how the noise is as nice as the original but better
Happy

Mine does, I bought the one that has valves always opened default and can press the button to close it at any time, not that I ever do now

As above, will be nice and quiet with the valves closed.
