V8 advantage headlight washer fuse
Discussion
Before writing this post, I searched for various solutions and forum posts, but I can't figure out if removing the fuse listed as F26 actually deactivates the windshield washer pump as well. This is based on my research, because F26 – 20A (yellow) powers the windshield washer pump and the headlight washer pump, so the second fuse wouldn't exist. Is this possible? I'll also include a picture of my fuse box. Thanks for your help.

According to an old workshop manual I downloaded, F48 and Relay R7A is screen wash; F26 and Relay 10 is headlamp wash.

This is what I can't understand either, as they give me answers about fuse 26. But if I remove it, the windshield washers don't work anymore, not just the headlight washers, so this makes me think that there is a single fuse that controls them.Removing Fuse 26 should just stop the headlight washers from working. There are no wires to the washers, only the pump and they shouldn't pop out everytime you use the screen washers, once every sixth time when you have the headlights on.
If the car is registered 2009 or later then you need headlight washers for the MOT.

I agree. After fixing my washer mounts, which had broken, I removed Fuse 26 to stop them working (but could always be put back if need be). Are you sure the windscreen washers don’t work with Fuse 26 removed? The easiest solution after that is to remove the power plug to the headlight washer pump. It will take 10 seconds to do, but two hours to remove the inner wheel arch!
