My DB9 makeover
Discussion
As you might know a couple of years ago I fitted an updated engine, AM09, identical to a DBS engine except for the inlet manifolds......I think you might know where this is going....?
The early DB9 is a beautiful car but IMO it hasn't aged well, the other cars like the first Vanquish and V8V, they still look really good so over winter I wanted to give my early DB9 a makeover so this is what I've done-
Fitted a genuine DBS alcantara steering wheel.
Fitted a genuine DBS front grille
Fitted a AMS edition DBS front bumper with hydro dipped carbon fibre front diffusers.
Fitted genuine DBS carbon edition wheels with 255/35 R20 fronts and 305/30 R20 rear tyres
Fitted AMS edition DBS side skirts
DB9 2010 onwards door mirrors with hydro dipped carbon fibre caps.
Clear rear lights
I've got the AMS edition rear DBS bumper with DBS chrome exhaust tips but haven't had the time to fit them yet.
Next on my list is a DBS bonnet but the piggy bank is empty this year so that's for next year.
I found a great bodyshop in Nottingham to do the paint, I'm really happy with that.
I know what your all thinking but I simply cannot afford a genuine DBS and all the changes have been done very cost effectively I managed to sell all the parts I removed for good prices.
I really like the change, still a working progress.

Beautiful, well done and a lovely colour. I agree completely that the DB9 has aged a little and adding some DBS parts does freshen it up and update it.
I have done similar to mine

Mine still has the original engine, but has the DBS Inlet manifold

Thanks, I've looked at your car when I was thinking about doing this last year, your car looks amazing!I have done similar to mine
