The entire AM business was advertised for sale at £30,000.
Purchased by DB at £20,500.

Wonder if that was the classic negotiation?
Offer £10k then meet almost in the middle.

And also personally paid off the £5 million debt.
That must be one measure of a true gentleman.

I doubt making money featured at the time of his purchase.
His main passions were engineering and speed.

He must have been very proud of his AML employees achievements.
Outright World Sports Car Champions.
Overall win at Le Mans 24 Hours.
DB4 and DB5.

Entire? Paid quite a bit more for W O's engine and Lagonda a few months later.

I’d never seen this video before until it popped up in my feed last night. Pretty entertaining though it does go silent for as minute or so. Some interesting bits on David Brown too which made me think of it.
