VAP Clutch / Flywheel & Misfire Corrections Question:
Discussion
I have a 2010 V8 Vantage 4.7 and recently installed the VAP clutch and flywheel. The car is driving well, but I have a question about the misfire correction procedure.
VAP states that this has to be done via AMDS for vins from *13435 (which mine falls into), but I've seen a lot of people just using the Foxwell to achieve this. Has this changed and the Foxwell now has the ability to do this?
I have a Foxwell NT510 Elite, which successfully bled the ASM system and appeared to clear the clutch statistics.
If AMDS is still required, my nearest Aston Martin dealer is about four hours away. Would it be safe to drive the car that distance before completing the procedure, or is this something that can be done remotely?

This is the "official" (in my opinion not quite easy to understand) answer to your question:

Your question seems to boil down to: (i) do the old misfire correction data need to be erased via AMDS before doing the necessary misfire correction factor re-learning procedure if they are still stored in the KAM? (ii) And is Foxwell with AM-software able to do this, too?
My understanding is: i) yes and ii) no. But I am not entirely sure, I have to admit.
