DBS Weatherstrip, foam or rubber seal?
Discussion
Hi all, I have what looks like a rubber or foam seal breaking up under the chrome weatherstrip above the rear quarter light. I have looked on a Db9 parts list and see the main body seal but don’t think it’s this? As it’s higher than I think that seal would go? Any ideas if it’s an added seal for wind noise? Failing any ideas I guess it’s remove the chrome and have a look? Thanks for any ideas
Clean the affected area thoroughly, let it dry then apply silicone sealant

Seemingly the same has happened on my V8 Vantags S in the exact same spot: ca. 3 cm of foam strip got loose under the DLO surround because the double-sided adhesive tape does not bond any longer. I seem to remember that strip was never sitting perfectly well since brand new. I assume washing and polishing somehow worked it loose over the years. Found out yesterday when I had the chance to wash the car after two years. Had no time to take a photo as I was under such time pressure.
