I changed the battery in my key today. I was testing it and locked my car and then pressed unlock button. But I noticed after awhile, the car automatically locks itself. I never noticing the car auto locking before. Is it a setting that changed due to change of key fob battery?

If you don't open the door the car relocks itself.

So if I unlock the car with the key fob and open the door, and then close the door, it will then stay unlocked?

It's either that or ignition on that stops it relocking fairly sure it's door opened though.

Yes as above, also of you single press to lock and then wait around 10 seconds you will hear another click which I assume is the car automatically deadlocking, well mine does anyway.

Hello. Is it possible to disable autolock when the car moves? I really need to disable this feature

Generally I'd say "yes", but it may depend on model and year how you achieve it.

Exactly this but unless you specify which model and the year, then no one here can say for sure. Assuming it’s VH Vantage, on the later cars I’m fairly sure it’s something you can do yourself through the main vehicle settings menu on your infotainment screen (the smaller one, not the retractable sat nav screen). The very earliest cars, ie pre 2008/2009 ski slope facelift, will require a visit to an AMDS equipped garage as far as I know. If you have your Owners Manual to hand it may be worth checking that first. BRM.

Thanks for your responses and apologies

Mine is a 2008 4.3 roadster

I have foxwell scanner with AM software if that helps

Thanks again

I may be wrong but I’m fairly sure you will only be able to disable it through AMDS. I guess it could be worth trying the Foxwell first, but failing that I would suggest a call to your nearest AM MD or AM Independent. Hope you manage to get it sorted out. BRM.
